Martial Arts Experience and Credentials
- I began training in 1982
- I began teaching in 1983
- I began teaching full time in 1990
- The Family Karate Center's first location was founded on August 1, 1992.
- I purchased the Family Karate Center on November 1, 1994.
- The Family Karate Center moved to 3617 Betty Drive in March of 2008.
- I am the founder of the Kazoku Karate Budokai (Family Karate Association).
- I am a lifetime member of the Midori Yama Budokai.
- I am a lifetime member of the USA National Karate-do Federation (the National Governing Body of the sport of Karate as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee).
- I am formerly (1995) the General Secretary for the Colorado RSO (Regional Sports Organization) of the USA National Karate-do Federation.
- I am formerly the Treasurer for the Pikes Peak Martial Arts Council. This organization provided tournament competitions for athletes in the Colorado region.
- I am formerly (2001) the Team Colorado Coach for the Mountain States RSO (Regional Sports Organization) of the USA National Karate-do Federation.
- I was the Martial Arts Co-Commissioner for the Rocky Mountain State Games in 2003, 2004, and 2006. I also was the Martial Arts Co-Commissioner for the State Games of America in 2005. I also was the Karate Commissioner for the State Games of the West in 2008. I most recently was the Karate Commissioner for the State Games of America in 2009 and the Karate Commissioner for the 2010 Rocky Mountain State Games.
